We hope this message finds you healthy and safe as we navigate the COVID-19 health crisis as a community.
After careful consideration and in the interest of protecting all involved, the Vokes Theatre Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming production of The Tempest, scheduled to open May 1st. We are grateful for the efforts of the entire production team and cast, and share their disappointment that we will not be able to bring this production to fruition this season.
At the moment, we have made no determination regarding our summer show, Red Herring, planned to open in July. We will be guided in the decision making process by the conditions that exist at that time. We’ll keep you posted.
Your Donation Will Help: The Vokes Players, like many non-profits, has been hit hard by having to close. With the loss of at least 20% or more of our annual revenue and with mounting expenses, we turn to the generosity of our supporters now more than ever. We are grateful for all you have done to support us in the past and recognize that this is a challenging time for everyone. Anything more that you could do would mean the world to us. We are grateful for donations of any amount. Please be sure to check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift donation program.
